Gerrit leads our team in Richmond, a busy and growing city of 200,000 residents just 20 minutes south of Vancouver, known for its sophisticated multiculturalism. About 65% percent of Richmond’s population is Asian-Canadian, 44% from mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. There are also many new immigrants from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Phillipines, Thailand and Vietnam.
As advisor on key development projects, Gerrit works side by side with top management, where his encyclopedic knowledge of Richmond – he was born here – is useful.
Gerrit has a diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia and is widely travelled.
