Andrew Peck, elected president, Canadian Real Estate Association

Posted on April 8th, 2017

Leader, mentor, coach, advocate, policy wonk and friend are how his colleagues, sales team, students and friends describe Andrew Peck.

And now, they’re going to be calling him President, once again – this time, of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), one of Canada’s largest single industry Associations, with 120,000+ REALTOR® members.

It’s a milestone achievement for someone who started his career almost 35 years ago knocking on doors for listings.

“It was 1983 and I had just graduated from UBC and gotten my real estate license,” said Peck. “I was literally pounding the pavement and I learned a lot about the value of persistence.”

Previously Andrew served as a vice-president CREA, as a CREA director for seven years. He was president of BC Real Estate Association (2007), and president of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (2004).

In between, he served on countless task forces and committees, and while a director of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, helped establish the Board’s award-winning government relations department.

A fourth-generation British Columbian, Andrew has spent his career in Metro Vancouver. In 1987, he had become a managing broker and in 1996, he merged several companies to form Royal Pacific Realty Group which serves the Metro Vancouver area.  He is now the broker owner, vice-president and general manager of the company, overseeing 1,200+ licensed REALTORS® and a staff of 30.

Andrew also regularly helps Boards with progressive governance, teaches leadership courses for CREA and guides young professionals.

He’s a former piper with the SFU Pipe Band, an avid boater and a hobby chef, who is also known for his hilarious wit and sense of humour.

Congratulations, Andrew!  We’re with you on this incredible journey
